I had someone reach out to me about a pair of Brembo brake calipers that had damaged threads and a broken bolt and asked if I could do anything with them. I told them to send them to me and we'd get them fixed up. We used our new Adaptix vise jaw system to hold these brake calipers in the milling machine and installed Helicoils in all of the holes. The braking system’s in cars have remained mostly unchanged for the last 40 or so years. The Anti lock brake system was first introduced in 1978 with the W116 Mercedes Benz. Well all that changes today, Brembo has shown of there awesome new Sensify brake system which they believe will be the brakes of the future. Now what makes sensify different? Well where abs reduces and increases brake pressure this system try’s to apply the precise amount of pressure on each wheel to have the optimum brake pressure at each wheel with out losing traction. So a more constant precise brake force. How do you do this? Well with this new system from Brembo your car has an individual electric motor at each wheel that controls each caliper for next-level precision and smooth control. For instance, In the case of an emergency stop that would normally use ABS, the Sensify system is able to bring you to a halt by utilizing sensors and a combination of new braking system hardware consisting of new caliper, brake “line” and brake actuation technology. In a full emergency stop, those sensors are able to work out the maximum performance each one of your tire have, and get the brakes to apply the exact amount of pressure that provides the quickest stopping distance without the ABS micro-adjustments. It’s smoother, feels more in control, and brings your car to a halt in a much calmer way. With ABS you can feel the brakes biting and releasing on the wheel. This feeling is scary, where with sensify you don’t feel the car shake and struggle for traction, this means that this system will help inspire confidence #Brembo #Sensify #brakes #Future

This video can be used as a tutorial for those who are mechanically inclined, for those who are not familiar with brakes I would suggest taking this job a motorcycle mechanic. Just as a note all my impressions are based on my previous upgrade being the performance brake pads. If you decide to this install yourself please realize that you will need to cut OEM brake switch and solder a new one on. As well the roll back function will not work on cruise control after this brake upgrade is complete.
