Today we introduce Cody to the channel with his 2016 Polaris IQR 600 that he completely ripped apart and rebuilt from the ground up with oil injection, 12 gallon trail tank, performance upgrades, and he made sure it's going to rip for the season. With nearly $7000 invested into his snowmobile, we take a comparison look between his final year IQR versus my 2003 Polaris ProX factory race sled with a 600cc Liberty swap. I paid $1800 for the ProX back in 2018 at HayDays and the value has risen over time but still accurate to what was paid. For the first solid ride of the season, this winter is looking good! DIY Weighted Sled Video is Out! 🤍 DIY Weighted Sleds now available for purchase! 🤍 I'm experimenting with alternatives to the sled and reverse sled used by kneesovertoesguy in my gym. I recently rejoined my gym after working out from home for a couple of years. One problem I’ve found is that they don’t have a sled Using the sled is definitely one of my favorite exercises so I wanted to figure out an in gym solution. One thing I’ve been experimenting with is using a cable machine and a dip belt If you have an open space around the cable machine and can adjust it below your center of gravity, it works well for mimicking a sled The biggest difference here is that you also have to handle the eccentric force of walking the weight back in where with a normal sled you are only dealing with the concentric force of actively moving the sled and not having it move you. I think the biggest drawback is that it’s definitely a bit more aggressive on the knees than only handling the concentric portion with a normal weighted sled, especially when doing reverse sled. Because of this, I don’t think it can be trained as frequently as the normal sled but I still think it’s a great option especially when moving the cable facing forwards. Something about getting pulled backwards with the weight feels really good and gives a nice stretch as you are working your way back in towards the machine. I think with the backwards motion, it’s hard to beat an actual sled because you don’t have to deal with the eccentric part on the cable where it’s pulling you forward towards the machine which could be a bit too aggressive if you are in early stage knee rehab. So if you don’t have a sled at your gym, and are doing an ATG program or just want to experiment with some knees over toes guy exercises, give this a try and see how you like it. Avoid these 7 common mistakes when using a router sled to flatten a live edge slab. There are many different designs of router sleds out there, but here I show you a simple design that will work every time. The best part is you can just build it out of plywood scraps from around your shop! Making a simple and cheap router sled for flattening boards and slabs. This jig allows you to joint and plane bigger boards that won't fit in your planer or jointer with help of a router. I used some 30mm by 30mm angle iron and some 18mm plywood scraps, a few screws and you are done. you can make this in just a couple of minutes. I used some spacers on my router attached with some hot glue to accommodate for the rounded corners of the angle iron. and took some 5cm by 5cm pine wood to ride the sled on. With the plywood strips, I can easily adjust the height of the sled. I've chosen an 18mm router bit to flatten the beech slab because that was my largest bit.
