Thanks to everyone for lending us their cars for this race: - BMW M5: 🤍 - BMW M5: 🤍DNAAUTOHAUS - AMG E63: 🤍 - AMG E63: 🤍exclusiveautos6770 We’ve got our hands on the all-new Audi RS6 Performance, and it’s about to go head-to-head against its key competitors, the BMW M5 Competition and Mercedes-AMG E63 S! Think this line-up seems familiar? Well, that’s because it is - we’ve done this race before! The question is, will the all-new RS6 have what it takes to bring down the competition? Well, let’s first find out by checking out the stats. Starting with the RS6, it’s powered by the same 4-litre twin-turbo V8 as before, but the power has been dialled up, and it now produces an amazing 630hp and 850Nm of torque! This power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, however, the car is the heaviest in this line-up, tipping the scales at 2,090kg! It’s also the most expensive car here, with a price tag of around £113,000. Alongside it, we have the BMW. It’s packing a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet, which is good for 625hp and 750Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed torque converter gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,865kg. It’s also slightly cheaper than the RS6, at around £111,000. Then finally we have the AMG. It’s actually the least powerful car here, with its 4-litre twin-turbo V8 putting down 612hp and 850Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed multi-clutch gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,950kg. It’s the cheapest car in this line-up, too, costing around £106,000. So will the most powerful car win it? Or will the BMW’s incredible launch system propel it to victory? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE! Not just because it was a 200K sleeper that would make Ferrari Testarossa drivers cower in the slow lane - but thanks to the bombastic V8 units under the hood that would hit like a hammer. The news of the V8's return to the #E63 was recently debunked by AMG's CEO, so for now, it seems like the current #mercedesamg E63 S may well be the last to have the power unit linking to the original beast, and every E AMG since. Today, we ask the question if this gen of E63 is a future classic, and if we should buy one and hold on to it! We will also celebrate this final V8 E63, as it’s been the best generation of this car ever. And I’m also going to share with you the best mods you can do to extract the potential of your E Class too!! This generation of E63 has been one of the best, if not the best. It was the first mainstream performance sedan to introduce switchable 4WD to RWD drift mode, thanks to the decoupling of the front axle. A move quickly mimicked by rivals like the M5, and to this day not matched by Audi and others. It was the only one in segment to have dynamic engine mounts, which for the longest time made it the most dynamic of the segment. In fact, for its entire lifetime of 8 years, the E63 Wagon sat as the king of the Nurburgring as the world’s quickest wagon. Only recently dethroned by the M3 Touring. The engine is superior, one of the world’s best in the 4.0 twin scroll bi turbo engine making 612BHP, 850NM and 0-60 in 3.5 — also in pre-facelift E63. It also has the engine on rivals with it’s gearbox, the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G with a wet multi-plate start-off clutch, instead of the slow torque converters of rivals. It’s an engine and gearbox combo that will remain relevant for years to come too, as the Euro 7 version will be based on this one, and will last a decade at least! This is the final edition, and is technically identical to the standard E63 S. Unique points include the Magno Graphite paint work, final edition livery, and a unique wheel finish of chrome with black. The Afflaterbach badge also finds its way on the c pillar - all mimicking the C63 final edition. The interior is also unique. MODS ——— Now, let’s move on to mods!! One problem with my car, is like every other one in the UK — it came delivered with the basic LED headlights. While not looking so different, their performance at night is mildly pathetic. And on your E63, it seems insane to have the basic lights, all thanks to chip shortage. So, naturally, I upgraded them. And I’m going to show you how you can do it too - along with a tonne of basic mods I’ve done on my E63, which can be done on most Mercedes cars! You won’t want to miss this. ⁃ Multibeam upgrade ⁃ Disable Exhaust Flap ⁃ Lane change reactivated ⁃ Ambient light dynamic select ⁃ Dynamic select stupid screen ⁃ Energising Comfort ✅ My partner in the video for this work is RJ Automotive. RBR VS Mode Episodes are coming at you with a vengeance!! After the awesome Taycan 4S vs RWD episode, it’s time to do a proper petrolhead hero car battle : #AMG E63S vs E63S. Old vs New! Loud vs Subdued. Analog vs Digital! Not a huge amount has changed technically speaking as far as performance goes on the E63S. It maintains the brutal 4.0 V8 bi turbo, and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G. And of course the famed AMG 4matic+ 100% variable all wheel drive system with drift mode. Both E 63 S produce 612 BHP, 850NM and 0-60 in 3.4 - but we test both to be way quicker, so stick around for the launch controls! Minor differences: the interior gets a new where and the awesome MBUX, and the facelift gets AMG dynamics, which influences the ESP system based on your requirements or driver skill. And the main bit is adjustments to the AMG ride control suspension, which has been modified to be more comfortable. Oh, and the exhaust is now muted due to EU regs since then. That means, for the AMG Addict, the prefacelift E63S is basically the same car, just louder, less interior tech and arguably a more aggressive design!!
