4 in 1The inspiring story of Jared Issacman - an Entrepreneur, Billionaire, pilot and, an astronaut “Humankind is just far more interesting when people can go and journey amongst the stars”, it looks like a line from a Star Wars movie script but this is what the C.E.O of SpaceX, Elon Musk said when he talked about the next project his company is working on. Exploring space and watching the earth from above has always been everyone’s childhood dream, but we always thought it was not possible unless you’re an astronaut working for NASA. But this dream is nowadays being worked on. In fact, that is what SpaceX’s actual project is about, to make space travel available for almost anyone by decreasing the cost and improving the reliability of the access to space. The company SpaceX is working on a project called “inspiration4”, the world’s first all-commercial astronaut mission to orbit. Jared Isaacman a 37 years old entrepreneur - founder and CEO of Shift4 payments and an accomplished pilot and adventurer - will command this mission with a crew alongside him of three individuals from the general public. The inspiration4 crew will undergo special astronaut training by SpaceX as well as a mission simulation to prepare them for every situation they may face during the mission. Space x was started in 2001 when Elon Musk had a project of landing a miniature experimental greenhouse to grow plants on Mars. To make this happen Musk tried to buy Russian rockets but failed due to their unaffordable prices, which made him think of another way to acquire rockets without spending a fortune on them. That’s when he realized instead of buying them, he could build those rockets since the price of the raw materials for building them is incredibly cheaper than the sales price of the rockets themselves … And That’s how SpaceX was founded in 2002. . In December 2010, SpaceX was the first private company ever to successfully launch, orbit, and recover a spacecraft called “Dragon 1”, which was a class of reusable cargo spacecraft that they developed themselves. Moreover, they were also the first private company to send humans into orbit then to the International Space Station (ISS) in May 2020. The Crew Dragon Demo 2 was the first crewed test flight of the Crew Dragon spacecraft named “Endeavour” that was launched on May 30, 2020, on top of Falcon 9. Douglas Hurley and Robert Behnken were announced as the primary crew on 3 August 2018. Both astronauts are veterans of the Space Shuttle program, and the Demo-2 flight was the third trip to space for both of them. The lead flight director for this mission was Zebulon Scoville. They were both backed up for this mission by the NASA astronaut Kjell Lindgren. In August 2020, the capsule returned to Earth. The spacecraft landed by parachute in a body of water and the crew was recovered by SpaceX’s recovery vessel, an offshore supply ship called GO Navigator, and the mission was declared successful. SpaceX is targeting a five-hour launch window on Wednesday, September 15, opening at 8:02 p.m. EDT (Thursday, September 16 at 00:02 UTC / 02:02 CEST) for the launch of the Inspiration4 mission – the world’s first all-civilian human spaceflight to orbit – aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft from historic Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Approximately three days after liftoff, Dragon and the Inspiration4 crew will return to Earth and splashdown at one of several possible landing sites off the Florida coast. The three-layer observation dome, which was extensively tested and qualified for flight in six months, replaces the mechanism used on Dragon’s previous flight to dock to the International Space Station. It is to be expected that the live stream will start 4 hours before the lift-off (TBD).

Four “space tourists” will make history as part of the first all-civilian crew to orbit Earth. Inspiration4 is a three-day mission that will take entrepreneur Jared Issacman, physician Hayley Arceneaux, educator Sian Proctor and former Air Force service member Chris Sembroski on a trip around the planet several times in low orbit. Jared Isaacman is a tech entrepreneur, a billionaire and a record-setting pilot. At just 37 years old, he’s about to add yet another title to his resume: civilian astronaut. Isaacman, the CEO of Lehigh Valley-based payments processing firm Shift4 Payments, is set to serve as the commander of the world’s first all-civilian mission to space, which was announced Monday from SpaceX’s headquarters in California. The mission is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Isaacman, a Palmer Township resident who is building a home in Lower Nazareth Township, has experience going fast — and not just as it relates to his rapid rise in business. As a pilot, he holds several records, including a Speed-Around-The-World flight that raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and he has flown in more than 100 air shows with the Black Diamond Jet Team. More specifically, Isaacman has committed to give $100 million to St. Jude and is tying two of the mission seats to the Memphis organization. One of those seats is reserved for a St. Jude ambassador who has not yet been identified, while another seat will be raffled off to a member of the public who donates to St. Jude. Training will focus on orbital mechanics, stress testing and emergency preparedness, among other instruction, to prepare the crew for a multi-day journey in which the spacecraft will orbit Earth every 90 minutes on a customized flight path. That’s literally the number of flight hours left in a fighter jet before it outlives its usefulness and needs to be retired from service. But Isaacman views the concept as a metaphor for how to live his life.“You only get so many flight hours,” he says during a call from his Shift4 Payments office in Allentown, Pennsylvania, at 5 p.m. the day before a morning trip to his home in Montana. “It’s not a whole lot of time, so it really just comes down to maximizing it while you can.” Adds Isaacman’s older brother Michael, “He’s a big believer that we all have a limited fatigue life, so let’s do the most amazing things that we can while we’re alive.”At age 37, Isaacman appears to be using his time to the fullest. He started his first business at 15, a year before dropping out of high school to hawk credit-card terminals out of his parents’ basement. At age 28, he started what would become the world’s largest private air force, Draken International, and then sold it to Blackstone for a nine-figure sum eight years later. And as of June he is a billionaire, after taking his restaurant-and hotel-payments firm public. While much more famous billionaire Jack Dorsey’s Square targets neighborhood coffee shops, Isaacman’s Shift4 Payments handles more than $200 billion in payments every year for a third of the country’s restaurants and hotels, including giants like Hilton, Four Seasons, KFC and Arby’s, which rely on it to complete complex payments across dozens of properties and locations. Even after Covid-19 lockdowns threw restaurants across the country into chaos and temporarily tabled his much-anticipated IPO roadshow, Isaacman pressed ahead. “People still have to eat, right?” he says. Isaacman is now worth $1.4 billion, thanks almost entirely to his 38% stake in Shift4 Payments. He retains a small stake in Draken as part of an estimated $100 million worth of additional assets, including a MiG jet and nine other planes. For fun, Isaacman bullets the MiG faster than the speed of sound and climbs mountains to unwind from nonstop, intense 80-plus-hour weeks. He spent New Year’s Day in Antarctica scaling Mt. Vinson, a 16,000-foot wall of snow and ice 800 miles from the South Pole. He had to turn back 500 feet from the summit due to dehydration, but he vows to try again. Isaacman has been chasing an adrenaline rush since childhood. When he was still in high school in the quiet suburb of Far Hills, New Jersey, his brother Michael, eight years older, was buying his first house. Tiffany and Marc, the eldest of the four Isaacman siblings, were 27 and 30, respectively, and both working. The only one still stuck at home with Mom and Dad, Isaacman wanted out. “I was always very motivated to get to their lifestyle and not very motivated about high school life,” he says. In 2022, 39 year old Jared Issacman has already broken many world records in Aviation. E.g. he broke world record circumvavigating the globe in a light jet, almost 20 hours faster than previous record. He is also the first civilian to captain and pilot a space mission. His first business he started at age 15. It was computer repair for a company called COMPUSA. You must make decisions if you want to be in business. At age 16, he hired his mom to be his bookkeeper and his dad to wine and dine his cusomters cause he was not qualified to hold a credit card. Also, at Age 16, he discovered the billion dollar business idea to help businesses process credit card faster. After he became superrich, he came back to get his GED and at age 28, he earned a college degree in aviation. Inefficiency means Business Opportunities. In everything in life, you must take the first step. Finally, he attached great importance to charity. He had raised $238 million for St Jude Children Hospitals, and at age 23, he began charity by donating to the homeless in his local community.
