Nupur Sharma News: The Supreme Court on Friday came down heavily on former BJP leader Nupur Sharma, who sparked a controversy with her remarks against the Prophet, and said her loose tongue has set the entire country on fire. Her outburst is responsible for unfortunate incidents, the SC bench observed. The SC bench made these observations when Nupur Sharma filed a transfer application in the Supreme Court. In her application, Sharma had urged to transfer all the cases against her in different states to Delhi as her "life is in danger due to constant threats". 15 former judges, 77 former bureaucrats and 25 retired officers of the armed forces have criticised the Supreme Court's recent comments against former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, whose remarks on Prophet Mohammed led to protests and a diplomatic row. Their open letter tweeted by ANI, says the two-judge bench's observation that Nupur is “single-handedly responsible for what is happening in the country” was a “virtual exoneration of the dastardliest beheading at Udaipur”. The Supreme Court has come down heavily on former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, whose remarks on Prophet Muhammad sparked a massive row. The court was hearing a plea by Sharma to transfer all FIRs filed against her to Delhi. The Supreme Court judges held Nupur Sharma responsible for the murder in Udaipur. "We saw the debate on how she was incited. But the way she said all this and later says she was a lawyer. It is shameful. She should apologise to the whole country," said Justice Surya Kant.
